Amenities – Victoria BC Bed and Breakfast
Guest suites at our luxury Victoria bed and breakfast all have hardwood floors with Persian carpets that have been collected from various places along the Silk Road, primarily Iran, which was home to Eliza’s family for several years. King size beds are made with fine European pure cotton linens, which are professionally pressed by Villa staff. Bathrooms feature double soaker tubs, some with jets. The Alexandria bathroom has heated floors as well.
Large public spaces as well as smaller ones invite guests to spend time enjoying this beautiful Victoria BC bed and breakfast. The library is stocked with books, including several on Marco Polo and his Silk Road travels, as well as guides to Victoria, and works by local authors such as Carol Shields. Magazines include the New Yorker, Condé© Nast Traveler, Vanity Fair, and the Walrus, a distinguished Canadian literary magazine. Conde Nast Johansens Travel Guides for the Americas as well as Europe are also to be found in this Victoria BC Bed and Breakfast library. Shelves contain games such as Scrabble, Chess, Cranium, and Trivial Pursuits, as well as TV with cable and classic DVDs. On an antique Chinese desk is an iMac for the exclusive use of our guests for reading emails, downloading photos, etc.
The living room with wood-burning fireplace is a fine place to read, visit, share stories and good times. A chess table is set up ready to play, and a window seat looks out onto the garden with reflecting pool and fountain. The Tuscan room, with gas fireplace and hardwood floors with Persian carpets, has a retail area where guests can purchase books, CDs, spa robes, and Sea Flora and Silk Road products. French doors lead from the Tuscan Room to the patio and stone terrace, both places for a cozy chat, for sipping lemonade on a summer’s day, or for simply enjoying the garden.
All guest suits are provided with iPods and quality docks for listening to choice musical collections. Wireless internet throughout the house facilitates keeping in touch with the outside world when necessary, and each guest room has its own private line telephone with unlimited local calls.
